Description du contenu de l'enseignement

By the end of this course, students will have the key skills required to manage, update, and publish content on an institutional website. They will gain a concrete experience writing content for, developing, managing, translating and doing the other tasks required when managing a multilingual project for a real stakeholder.

Teaching methodes:
  • Regular 1hr sessions throughout the year will be provided either online or in person
  • Students will define their own goals and working methods for the year
  • Direction and strategy will be provided by the stakeholders on the project
  • The teaching team are available for questions and help during the sessions

 

Compétences à acquérir

  • Managing a large team on a real multilingual website project
  • Publishing content using a CMS
  • Managing components, menus, plugins using a CMS
  • Translating real content from French to other languages
  • PHP, HTML, JS and CSS skills developing new features on a PHP platform (Wordpress)
  • Managing and growing community engagement with the Master’s program’s social networks
  • Implementing an SEO strategy, improving existing content, defining keywords and measuring results using industry tools
  • Creating and editing graphic design products (infographics, website mockups, leaflets and brochures) for print and for web media.
  • Real world experience of working on a project in English

Pré-requis obligatoires

  • Be able to communicate orally in English and collaborate with coworkers in English.
  • Have an initial understanding of one of the following fields and a willingness to improve their skills:
    • Web development
    • Project management
    • Graphic design
    • SEO / Online Marketing
    • Social media
    • Translation
  • Be able to work well independently and in a team

  • Have interest in web culture and a willingness to suggest improvements
